I grew up in church and remember singing the song...Deep and Wide, Deep and Wide, There's a fountain flowing deep and wide. To be honest, I never understood the whole fountain part. I just wanted to do the hand motions (I usually over exaggerated them to hit my friend next to me in the face).
Well, I just want to clarify the whole far and near idea so everyone understands how you can help. First, the vision: We want The Journey to be a safe and welcoming place where people can come and take first steps and next steps with God. Every week, we have guests. Every week, it could be someone's one and only shot at giving God a chance in their lives for the whole year. So we want to do all we can to provide a great experience. Good seats and parking spots are just a small part of the overall concept of being others focused on Sundays. We ask you as an agent of The Journey to live the mission and put purpose over preference. So thanks.
So when we talk about far and near, first, we say park far. The parking lot of kind of crazy right before the services and especially in the transition between the two. People pull into the parking lot and there aren't many visible spots. So PARKING FAR - it would be helpful to park over by All-Phase or at least on the Far East side of the parking lot. This saves the best spots in the most visible areas and we have less congestion by the drives. FYI - eventually we will have to have parking lot attendants, create a flow and make one drive a "IN" and the other an "OUT".
When we say SIT NEAR, we mean close - like is anyone willing to sit in the actually front row? When the service starts and the auditorium is full and people are standing, the west side seats are not visible. So, please sit near in the front west side and in the front in the center sections first - then the west section as a whole.
EASTER is on April 12, we are projecting somewhere between 650 - 700. Please consider coming to the 8:15 service to make room. If you usually come at 11:00 and you are like - no way, that's too early. At least come to the 9:30. The 11:00 in the biggest issue but the others are full as well.
Thanks for doing all you do as agents to make The Journey a great place.
