We have a group of leaders that we called "the agency". We met this week. Some leaders are on the front lines - some are covert and you might not notice them. All are undercover in their work place, neighborhoods, and communities. We call them agents because it is all of our jobs to uphold the mission - to work to accomplish the mission...
The mission is to help people through the process of Reach, Connect, Develop, Serve, Devote.
The mission is about relationships, not religion.
This mission is about helping people who are disconnected from God start a relationship with God.
This mission is to help people connected with God to take next steps.
This is not a staff job, this takes the work of many agents working together to accomplish the mission. We talked about some big goals. These are just numbers. But we set these out so we can be prepared if God chooses to work in this way. We plan to keep trying our hardest to connect with more people who are disconnected, so obviously we are gonna grow. Anyways, we set goals for the next 5+ years of attendance of 1500 people over 3 campuses, 65% of those people were not going to church before coming, 75% who be involved in service in or outside of the Journey, and we would see 500 people get baptized. Those goals might not be totally feasible - but God can do more than we can even ask or imagine. I never thought we would be where we are now - but God has done great things. So, let's pray big, dream big and be agents who live out the mission.
