FOLLOW - WEEK 4
unleashing your God-given potential
RECAP
Today was the conclusion of our Follow series. We intro'ed it with "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty and with the Biggest Gainer finale. Paul wrapped up the series talking about getting F.A.T. - Faithful Available and today - Teachable. We looked in Proverbs about gaining wisdom from God and wise council from others. We looked at Exodus 13 and how Moses listened to Jethro. What it comes to is - we don't know it all. Even Tiger Woods has a coach. We need to not be defensive, seek wisdom for God and others, and resolve to change if we need to make a change. We can't keep doing things the same way and expect different results. If we want to unleash our potential, we need to follow, be teachable and get F.A.T.
THOUGHTS
-The Flu season took it's toll on our attendance again today. Hope everyone gets better.
- I was getting over cold. I was all plugged up. I couldn't hear good either. That's always good when your singing. Oh well.
- That Tom Petty song is good. But I really liked Meet with Me. We've played that song since day one of the Journey (literally).
- I had a few sound issues with my guitar and monitor at the beginning of the 11:00. Tech issues bug me. But only a little bit.
- Paul did a great job with this series.
- I tried something new with the video on the Won't Back Down song - it kinda worked. Good for a first attempt.
- I don't know if you noticed, but when Jennifer said - I'm fat - on the video. I started laughing. Unscripted and funny.
