In case you missed our Christmas Project kick off this past Sunday, here's the 411. We will be again working with the House of Hope in Kenya. In the past we have given Christmas gifts like a cow, chickens, chicken coop, rain tank, bunk beds, and more. This year we can to help out the Kenya orphan kids by building them a school. Check out Mark's blog for more details about the school. So you can buy a brick at church for this project (hurry they are almost gone already). We are also working with a local organization to help out locally with the Christmas Store. You can pick up an ornament to help provide toys, coats, and other things for need people. Instead of just getting a hand out, they can go to this Christmas store and have the dignity of buying things for their family Christmas.
Watch this video for all the details.
You can also volunteer to serve at the Christmas Store. Maybe your Journey Group or your family would all like to serve together. It's a great way to keep the focus this holiday season.
One thing I love about The Journey is the generous spirit. Every year we have to come up with more options because you knock it out of the park with the Christmas projects. There are many other cool things happening happening even beyond this. Thanks for living out what we talk about...God is the Blessor, He blesses us to be a blessing to others.
