MAINLY ON THIS POST I WANT TO HERE FROM YOU - even if you never comment - just try it - you're probably on vacation so you got the time and we all want to know....
What was the best part of your Christmas this year? or the most meaningful? or the most memorable?
Christmas this year was a whirlwind - worst than past year. We put a major effect into our Christmas Eve Gathering to make it good so I had a lot of work to do for that - along with pulling together 3 service in nine days in the middle of the holiday hustle. Steph is off of work, I am working like crazy - also our kids were sick to start off the week and Steph didn't feel great either. So, Monday before Christmas was baking at night. Tuesday was wrapping gifts. Wednesday was practice for C. Eve. Thursday we took Eli to the specialist in GR to get his hips check out (He had to wear a brace for the first 4 months of his life because his hips weren't fully formed at birth). Everything looks great and we don't have to go back again. We had Christmas Eve Gathering (awesome and crazy). Christmas Day we were at Steph's Dad's place. The 26th we hit Woodland mall on the way to Steph's mom's side for Christmas. Came home and unpacked a FULL van of stuff. Church on the fly on Sunday morning then off to celebrate with my family. I was totally whooped by Sunday night. Monday was packed with some work, a trip to Meijers cuz we had no food, trying to find place to put toy and going through toys to get rid of some stuff, Eli had a haircut after he went to the doctor to find out he had ear infections in both ears. Last night, Paul and I went to the Piston game because I got free tickets from Meijers. Play time with the cousins today while my brother is in town and friends over for a rockin' New Years Eve Band Hero party tomorrow. I am sure your schedule is crazy too. I feel like this year, I didn't get to enjoy it as much because it was so crazy. Usually things get drawn out but this year was all packed into one weekend.
Still, my most memorable moments were seeing Eli open presents. He wasn't really into it but he would give you a big "Ohhhh" every time he ripped it open and Emma hamming it up in her dress up clothes. We had some great time leading up to Christmas - watching Christmas specials, playing in the snow and looking at Christmas lights. So the best part of my Christmas was time with the family. Your turn...
Wow, that list of events seems similar to ours minus the ear infection (tubes last year for Luke). I think the most memorable part of our Christmas was sitting FRONT row at the Journey Christmas Eve. Wow, it was like Extreme church! It was awesome, you guys did a great job.
